After murdering and obscuring a random sailor the party moved on to the house of the shipbuilder scheduled to come meet them in the morning. Ndege Greenlimb was dragging along the body while Calebain conjured up some fog to give them some cover from the twon guard who were wandering around.
At the house TC Uki snuck in to knock the shipbuilder out, but he messed up and the guy woke up and a fight ensued, which was ended with Ndege's help. No one in any surrounding houses seemed to notice any strange happenings. Calebain came in to try and rig up a delayed onset fire, so he ransacked the curiously bare house for goods to use. After an hour or so he'd gotten his fire set and they found a barrel to put the shipbuilder in so he'd be easier to roll off to the boat.
Back at the boat, Tank Tursel had been hiding and heard noises on the dock. People talking and then doing some sort of work. After a while there were noises of more people putting a gangplank over to the boat so Tank went out to see what was going on. The five men said they were "Inspectors… Umm sorry. Wrong boat." and then ran off. Tank invesitgated wht had been done to the boat and found a chain attaching it to the dock. "Sons of bitches" he thought and went to work dismantling the chain. When that was done he noticed a group of guards down at the end of the dock right where the rest of the guys would be coming. He slipped into the water and unmoored the boat, giving it a silent push to get out and away from the shore.
While that was going on Sir Rodemus Pike noticed lights on the deck of one of the ships in the harbour. As they left the shipbuilder's house a group of a half-dozen Ob-Lobs came marching directly for it. Ndege rolled the barrel as quickly as he could while Calebain set up fog banks to cover their escape and Pike and Uki scouted things out up ahead.
At the main junction in town they found a group of 15-20 guards waiting. Ndege went further away to roll the barrel, while Pike and Uki tried to sneak by, but they were spotted. Some time around then three flaming arrows were shot into the air as the "danger signal" from the boat. TC and Rodemus quickly lost their pursuers (after Rodemus' armour saved him a nasty wound) and met up with Ndege near the river where they could see another bunch of soldiers between them and the dock. They decided to hide the barrel full of shipbuilder and then TC and Rodemus jumped into the water to head for the boat, leaving Ndege behind as he began shooting the guards who quickly spotted him. By this point Calebain had arrived at the boat in time for everyone to see Ndege get surrounded and swarmed by a pile of guards.
There was a brief discussion on what the biggest priority should be and Calebain was sent to fetch the barrel of shipbuilder before they began work on a rescue. On the bank of the river Calebain was approached by a man who said he was with Kardish. Calebain promised them transport to Freeport if they'd help when the Spirit returned.
Tank took control of the boat and they headed upriver, out of Ob-Lob territory towards the town of Hearth, where they arrived the next day in the late morning.
