Blood and Words

Tank Tursel showed up at the Barracks with prisoners in tow, ready to tell his tale of door kicking and non-strategy in his part of the battle. He, Calebain and Ndege Greenlimb decided what to do with their prisoners. They found the stolen moonstone and questioned Rakabuta about how he came to be a leader in the Redblade Militia. He told them he'd been on his way to the Hulks when the Redblades rescued him. Now he was part of their band of thugs. The elder of the group told them how he was an advisor to Draegar and the mage told them how he'd been to blame for focusing on the attack from the sky and not the rest of the things that were happening. The Ob-Lob with the sharktooth necklace was exceedingly loyal to Draegar and what a wonderful leader he was.

TC Uki was sent to find Torsten Roth to see what he wanted done with the prisoners. Who were all poor and powerless. A lot of time was spent discussing how to dispose of them. No one wanted loose ends that would come back and bite them in the ass, but coldblooded murder seemed like it might create a lot of angry ghosts.

Roth was no help on the prisoner front. He just wanted them out so he could bring in his own people and begin reconstruction in the area, tentatively known as Rothland. He agreed to let The Helusian Spirit be its first choice in all shipping matters related to the reconstruction.

In the end they decided on some show trials leading to executions by Tank Tursel. After the first batch the translator Ob-Lob let everyone know what was happening and a brief revolt was staged, leading to the death of all the unarmed prisoners, including the leaders. The bodies were loaded into TC Uki's boat The Monty and dumped at sea. They never did find anyone who knew anything substantial about shipbuilding.

After all of this Finn seemed very glad to be working with the Helusian Spirit and hoped they'd be able to work very closely. Ndege bristled a bit at Finn's description of the Spirit as his guys, and after they left he and Tank had a brief discussion to straighten out that they weren't in the crime lord's pocket.
