Port Strike

Port Strike is the Ob-Lobs' northernmost town on Heluso. It's surrounded by swamps which act as a sort of buffer between the Ironbones and the Sea. The last claim to fame for this town is its proximity to Freeport.

While Freeport is grandiose, Port Strike is shabby and small. Many a young resident stares up at the sea dreaming of heading up to freebooter heaven that is only about 50 miles away. The Ob-lobs cruise through for resupplies but no one really wants to stay. The only reason it hasn't been abandoned is its small shipbuilding yards. Port Strike is the easiest place for Ob-Lobs to get access to North Hold's vast forests full of lumber (which are shipped that direction to help meet the Ironbones' demand). So it remains.

Despite the population's desire to be elsewhere wealth has accumulated in the town. It is the last of the gateways to Heluso.

It's easy to get passage to Freeport from the Port Strike docks. If you're willing to sit on cargo there are lots of ships that head up to the Serpent's Teeth. Waiting for a dedicated passenger ship takes a bit more time, but there's usually at least one every week.
